How do I export my print file as PDF?

In most programs you have to use the "export to PDF" command. In that case choose to use Adobe PDF standard PDF/X-4:2008. If you use word or a similar word editing program you should use the command "print to PDF". You can do this by accessing the standard printing dialogue box.

Read Adobe's description here.

What is CMYK, PMS and RGB?

CMYK is the most common color model consisting of the colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black. With the help of these four colors, you then mix all the colors. CMYK is the same as the term "four-color printing".

PMS is an abbreviation for Pantone Matching System and is ready-mixed so-called decorative colors in contrast to the usual printing inks CMYK. By using these colors, you can achieve color tones that are not printable in CMYK.

RGB is a color model used on various screens. It stands for red, green and blue. Unlike CMYK and PMS which require a white background, RGB is an emitting color model, the three colors shine with different strength to create new colors. Since the colors must emit light, it is technically impossible to use this model when printing on paper.

What is bleed and cutmarks?

Bleed is when the print file is made slightly wider than the final format if the print goes all the way or partially all the way to the edges of the printed matter. This is so that the printed matter during cutting does not have white edges. In other words, bleed is the surface that will be cut off.

Cut marks are the markings that show where we should cut off excess paper so that the printed matter gets its final format.

You add cut marks and bleed - we want 3 mm - when you create your print ready pdf.
